Back with another round of updates.
You can now generate report card comments for all your students at once, and get feedback on any student's writing submission β with optional rubric scoring. We've also rebuilt how presentations are generated, and made the loading experience much smoother across all tools.
Read below for details, and try everything in your Monsha account.
π New tool: Report Card Comments
You can now generate personalised, parent-ready comments for every student in your class at once.
Add students one by one with their name, pronouns, achievement level, and any relevant notes; or just upload a class list from a spreadsheet. Choose which areas you need comments for: Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Learning Skills, Overall, or any custom area you define.
Monsha will write individually tailored comments for each student.
The tool supports both Report Cards and Progress Reports.
After generating, you can adjust tone, make comments shorter or longer, rephrase for more variety, or switch to IEP/ELL-appropriate language.
π New tool: Writing Feedback
You can now generate feedback on any student's writing!
Just paste or upload the assignment prompt and the student's submission. Monsha reads the submission and produces feedback that references specific parts of the text.
By default, you get Strengths, Areas for Growth, and Next Steps. You can also turn on scoring, inline annotations that call out specific passages, rewrite suggestions, and criterion-level feedback.
You can attach your own rubric or choose from 15 prebuilt ones: Narrative, Argumentative, Informational, Creative Writing, STAAR, 6+1 Writing Traits, etc. If you don't attach a rubric, Monsha will generate feedback based on general writing quality for the grade level.
Feedback is student-facing by default.
β¨ Upgraded presentation slides
We've rebuilt how presentations are generated.
Before generating your slides, Monsha now shows you an outline of each slide β the topic, structure, visual cues. You can review everything, edit any slide's outline, or ask AI to revise it. Once it all looks right, you hit Generate.
After generating, you can regenerate individual slides without redoing the entire deck. Monsha uses the surrounding slides as context so the result stays consistent.
Images are better, and you now get a thank-you slide by default.
β¨ Smoother resource generation
When you hit Generate, you're now taken straight to the output page instead of waiting on a loading screen.
While the resource is being created, you see what Monsha is doing at each step: uploading your file, reading transcripts, researching online, creating images, finishing up, etc. You donβt have to wait around though β you can navigate away and come back anytime.
Your resource also appears in My Resources immediately, so you can find it even before it's finished.
β¨ Guided tours
When you open a resource page or a course page, you'll see a short walkthrough highlighting what you can do from that page: sharing, exporting, editing, differentiating, chatting with your resource, and more.
It shows up automatically the first few times. After that you can dismiss it. A Help button in the header brings it back whenever you want. This we hope will help you maximize the small but powerful options you have at your disposal!
