This update is a foundational one!
We’ve rebuilt large parts of Monsha to make it more reliable, more capable, and easier to use as you create, edit, and export teaching materials.
Most of the work happened behind the scenes, but you’ll feel it throughout the app. AI output is more consistent, complex content renders correctly, exports break less often, and everything feels smoother and more stable overall.
On top of that foundation, we’ve also shipped several visible improvements, including a new text editor, better login options, a self-serve TEAM plan, and a stronger FREE plan.
Below is a breakdown of what’s new and what’s improved in this release. Try everything in your Monsha account.
✨ A new, super-powerful text editor
You no longer need to export Monsha-generated content to Google Docs or Microsoft Word just to edit it, though you still can if you want to.
We’ve rolled out a new text editor that lets you edit, customise, and refine anything you generate in Monsha, even complex, heavily formatted content.
1️⃣ Rich content support
You can work with tables at a granular level, including adding, removing, and rearranging rows and columns.
You can also write code blocks, add quotes, and use different list types like to-do lists, toggle lists, bulleted lists, and numbered lists.
We’re skipping the obvious basics you’d expect from any modern editor.
2️⃣ Math and scientific notation
Typing and editing scientific equations and symbols is now much more intuitive than before. Formatting is cleaner and easier to work with, especially for STEM content.
3️⃣ Powerful embeds
You can upload and embed images from your device or add them using any image link. You can embed videos from any YouTube URL, and hyperlink any text inside your content.
4️⃣ Select and replace, AI-powered
If you want to change a specific part of your content, just select that section and leave feedback, or choose from ready-made options.
AI will regenerate only that selected portion.
This is helpful if you want to modify a specific part without regenerating the entire content (which you still can, if you want to).
5️⃣ Move blocks
Everything inside the editor works as a block. You can drag and move any section anywhere, without cutting and pasting.
✅ Which means you can generate almost anything
Because the editor now supports nearly all rich content formats, our AI can also generate and render those formats reliably.
In short, content that was previously difficult to format is now easy to generate, view, edit, and export directly inside Monsha.
✨ More login options, with social accounts
Previously, you could log in using email or Google. If you signed up with email, you could not later log in with Google, even if both used the same email address.
That has changed.
You can now log in using Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or LinkedIn. No matter how you originally signed up, you can use any of these options later.
From your account settings, you can view, add, or remove connected social accounts at any time.
You can also add secondary email addresses as sign-in methods. This is useful if you want to use both a personal and a work email to access your account.
✨ TEAM Plan: for schools or groups of teachers
If you want Monsha for your department or school, or you’re a small group of colleagues buying together, we’ve introduced a self-serve TEAM plan.
Self-serve means there’s no need to contact us or go through any approval or procurement process. You can purchase a TEAM subscription the same way you would an individual Monsha plan.
Whoever purchases the TEAM plan becomes the moderator and gets a dedicated portal to manage the team. From there, they can invite other members and control access as needed.
TEAM plan will soon include shared resource access and collaboration features.
✨ Improved FREE plan
When you sign up for Monsha, you get full access to all features for 14 days. After the trial ends, your account moves to the forever-free BASIC plan.
With this update, we’ve strengthened the BASIC plan. It now includes more features, fewer restrictions, and access to all tools inside Monsha. Unlike before, no tools are locked out on the FREE plan.
The BASIC plan now runs on a credit-based system and includes 50 AI credits every month. Features that do not use AI are not limited by credits and remain fully available.
✨ AI output now more reliable
We’ve made a series of behind-the-scenes improvements to fix common AI issues and improve overall output quality.
Quiz generation is more consistent now, with better question counts, clearer difficulty balance, and improved quality. Math equations render cleanly, without the formatting issues that showed up before.
We can now handle plots, images, equations, and regular text together in the same output much more reliably.
The presentation tool is also noticeably faster to generate and export.
If you use Monsha regularly, you should notice these improvements quickly.
✨ More reliable export
We’ve improved how exports work across Monsha.
Exports to Google platforms like Slides, Docs, Sheets, and Forms are now more reliable, with fewer errors and better format retention. The same improvements apply to Schoology and Canvas quiz exports using IMSCC.
✨ Improved user interface
We’ve rebuilt the frontend of the app.
The design hasn’t changed much, but we’ve fixed many bugs, made interactions smoother and faster, and improved overall responsiveness. We’ve cleaned up a lot of small usability details like fonts, spacing, padding, and layout consistency.
Across Monsha, you’ll notice many small but meaningful improvements. The app feels faster and smoother overall.
