We’ve rebuilt how Monsha uses AI behind the scenes.
Nothing about the interface changes. But what you generate should feel different – more coherent, more accurate, more reliable. You’ll see it in the quality of explanations, diagrams, graphs, layouts, and overall flow of your resources.
This update also introduces source citation for every output, the ability to upload files and materials while chatting with a resource, and saved templates for lesson plans.
Read below to see what’s changed, and try everything in your Monsha account.
❇️ What this AI-upgrade looks like for you
You’ll notice a lot of improvements (some small, some big) across your workflow. For example:
More flexibility in formats and layouts
Earlier, each Monsha tool followed a fairly fixed format. Worksheets looked a certain way. Vocab lists followed a set structure. You couldn’t meaningfully change that.
Now, your preference can override the default Monsha format.
If you want a vocab table with images, words, and explanations in separate columns, you can ask for it. If you want sections rearranged, combined, or structured differently, Monsha can follow that.
This is just an example, but it goes beyond that! Try it yourself.
Geometry shapes
Even ChatGPT often struggles with geometry.
But Monsha can now produce accurate geometric shapes for your maths resources, with accurate measurements and angles. These aren’t just AI-generated images trying to look right. The shapes are code-generated, and mathematically consistent.
Factually correct flowcharts and diagrams
If your resource benefits from a flowchart or diagram, Monsha can now create it properly.
Again, it’s not just AI placing boxes and arrows. The flow, facts, sequence and structure of these charts are factually accurate and logically coherent.
This is available across tools – flowcharts will be added where relevant, or you can ask for them directly.
3D graph plotting
We’ve supported chart generation for a while through the Chart Generator tool. Now, that capability is built into other tools as well.
If your worksheet or handout needs a chart, it can be generated directly within that tool. And we now support more advanced plotting, including 3D graphs.
Picture labeling worksheets
Monsha’s worksheet tool now supports Label-the-Picture activities. Based on your context and preference, it will generate an image, figure, or diagram, and mark specific areas for students to label.
The areas to label and their accuracy are ensured by our code, not at the mercy of AI..!
Figure-based questions and other resources
Since Monsha can now generate graphs, flowcharts, diagrams, geometric shapes, and other visuals accurately, you can include them directly in your worksheets or quizzes and have questions that properly refer to those figures.
So instead of a question with a visual placeholder, you get a question built around an actual figure that is generated and correctly used.
This goes beyond worksheets and applies to almost any resource you create in Monsha.
Apart from the AI output, we have some other enhancements as well…
🖼️ Replacing individual graph/image/flowchart
If you see a chart, image, or diagram in your output and don’t like it, you can now replace that specific element without regenerating the entire resource. You can regenerate it with AI, search for something online, or upload one from your device.
If you regenerate it with AI, it takes the existing image and the surrounding text into account. So the new image stays aligned with the context, and the text before and after it still refers to it correctly.
The replaced charts or diagrams remain factually and mathematically accurate.
✍️ Source citation and control
If an output uses any references, whether from materials you provided or from sources Monsha found, those sources will now be cited with the resource.
The citations appear in the output itself and are also included when you export it.
You can select or unselect specific sources and regenerate the resource based on them. You can also pick certain sources and use them to create additional resources.
Some platforms and organizations that are widely trusted by educators are marked with a Trusted Source badge when used.
📁 File and material upload in follow-up chat
After generating any resource, you can chat with it to refine, expand, fix, or create follow-on materials.
You can now upload additional materials directly into that chat. This includes files, videos, websites, text, or even another Monsha resource.
So if you remember something you forgot to include, want to align it with a specific document, or build on top of an existing lesson, you don’t have to start over.
📥 Saved template for lesson pages
Within your Course Planning flow, on each Lesson page where you design your daily lesson, you can choose which blocks appear, such as Objectives, Materials, Direct Instruction, Guided Practice, Homework, and more.
You can now save your selected set of blocks as your default template.
Once saved, every new lesson you create will automatically load with that same structure. You don’t have to reconfigure it each time.
