New in Monsha: Public Resources Directory, 200+ Curriculum Standards, 8 New Slide Templates & More

Back with another round of updates.

The big one is the Monsha Resources Directory – a free, public library of ready-made resources you can open, copy into your account, and change however you want. We've also brought in official curriculum standards for all 50 US states, and Monsha now picks a presentation template (among 8 new ones) that suits your topic instead of handing everyone the same one.

Finding a decent ready-made resource usually means paying for it on TPT, or pulling a picture off Pinterest and rebuilding it yourself. And whatever you find was made for someone else's grade, someone else's curriculum, in someone else's words. So you end up reworking it anyway.

We've started a free library instead, at monsha.ai/resources.

Search it, or filter by type, grade, subject, and language.

Everything in there is an actual customizable Monsha resource (created by real teachers), so you're not stuck with it as it is. You can just duplicate one into your account and change whatever you want: move it to another grade, translate it, add an answer key, rewrite the questions - whatever!

Right now the library holds resources we've made and curated ourselves. Very soon, teachers like you will be able to feature and host their Monsha-generated resources in the directory!

You can now align a resource to any of 200+ official state curriculum frameworks, covering all 50 states across English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

Previously the library only had a handful of national and international sets. If your state had its own standards, chances are they weren't in there.

Now they are – Alabama's Course of Study, the Colorado Academic Standards, the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, the Virginia Standards of Learning, and the same for every other state.

Common Core and NGSS have been replaced with their current official versions. And the expectations inside each set now show up in the right order and hierarchy.

And the new Standards panel is now inside the Add Sources modal.

Until now, nearly every presentation came out on the same general-purpose template. But now Monsha reads your presentation requirements and pre-selects a template for you - which you can change if you disagree, of course!

The Monsha template stays as is, Education 1 is now called Refined, and the older ones have been retired.

If you hover any template in the library, it plays through its slides to help you get a good look at the layouts and looks. Each template also has several themes to change the colors and fonts while keeping the layouts intact for that template.

Until now, you'd ask the Create Anything tool for a worksheet with labeled diagrams, an illustrated story, a chemistry schematic, or a PSAT set with the answer key at the back. It would hand you the text and quietly skip the rest. Those pieces did exist in Monsha, but only inside the dedicated tools, and Create Anything couldn't reach them.

It can now. Mind maps, graphic organizers, diagram labeling activities, flowcharts, charts, geometry figures, answer keys, report card comments, writing feedback – all of it, inside whatever you're making.

It works in follow-up messages too – ask for an answer key or one more diagram after the resource is done, and you'll get it.

Let’s say you write a course description, add your units and lessons, upload your materials. Then you create a resource inside one of those lessons and Monsha looks only at the learning objectives and standards, ignoring everything else you wrote. Which leaves you explaining your own course back to it in the prompt.

Now it reads much more of it: the course, unit, or lesson description, the titles and descriptions of the units and lessons around it, the content of the lesson blocks you've already built, and any materials attached at that level.

But more importantly, you have visibility and control over the context you’re using for that resource. A new Curriculum Context panel in the Add Sources modal shows you everything being used, so you can edit or switch off whatever you don't want.

Standards are more predictable too. If you attach a course, unit, or lesson that already has standards on it, those standards get auto-selected for you, which you can modify, of course, before creating a resource.

Halfway through refining a resource you remember the textbook page, or the video, or the article that would have made it right. But the only place to add a source was the creation screen, so your options were to start over or do without.

Now you can attach a file or paste a link straight into the chat, at any point, and Monsha reads it and uses it for whatever you ask next. Links pasted into the Describe your requirements field work the same way.

Everything you've used before also shows up under the previously used section, across every resource and tool. So an old upload is basically one click away instead of another upload.
