Back with another round of updates. This one is big.
With this update, planning in Monsha goes beyond creating courses, units, and lessons. You can now map your long-range plan. You can build detailed units with clear objectives and standards. And you can plan every lesson extensively, including what you'll teach, resources you'll use, and how you'll deliver each part of the class.
Everything stays organized and connected.
We’ve also added new tools for SAT practice sets and course outlines, plus direct export for quizzes and worksheets to Canvas and Schoology.
Explore the details below, and try these features in your Monsha account.
✨ Long-Range Curriculum Planning: Bring Your Course, Units, and Lessons Together
1️⃣ Start by Setting Up Your Course
Set up your course by adding essential details such as the title, description, grade, subject, and language. You can also use AI to give yourself a head start.
From the course page, you can view all your units at once, add new units, and reorder them as your plans evolve.
We’re working to allow you to import content from other platforms and export your plans to your LMS.
2️⃣ Map Out Your Units
Each unit gives you a focused workspace to outline learning objectives, align standards, and plan out the big ideas. AI support can also help you build your unit plan: high level topics, essential questions, assessments, pacing, key vocabulary, etc. You can easily create or upload unit-level resources, handouts, or assessments to keep everything together or use as references later.
3️⃣ Break It Down into Lessons
After organizing your units, you can move to detailed lesson planning. You can add lessons manually or use AI to generate them. Each lesson connects automatically to its parent unit and includes unit objectives and standards. Lessons can be reordered at any time. All lesson resources remain easy to access.
4️⃣ Plan Each Part of Your Lesson
Each lesson includes a modular workspace for detailed planning. Set your objectives, list key concepts, add materials, and plan each segment like opening activities, instruction, group work, assessments, closing, and homework.
This is your daily canvas!
You can customize the canvas by adding or removing planning blocks so it fits your teaching style. Attach or create any resource (worksheet, slide deck, link, video) to any part of your lesson for easy access.
5️⃣ Resources and Materials Always Within Reach
Every resource you create or upload (at the course, unit, or lesson level) is saved and organized automatically. You can easily see where each resource belongs. Move or reassign resources anytime. Your handouts, files, links, and videos remain easy to find wherever you plan.
6️⃣ Standards and Objectives Always Aligned
You can set objectives and align standards at the course, unit, or lesson level. Standards remain visible and editable throughout your planning. This makes checking alignment and updating information easy. You no longer need to re-enter standards repeatedly.
7️⃣ AI Support with Full Teacher Control
AI is available at every stage to help generate (and re-generate) units, lessons, objectives, planning blocks, activities, resources, or anything else really!
Whatever you see in this whole course planning workflow, you can create everything manually or using AI, with full control to edit as much as you want.
You can use AI suggestions as a starting point or create and edit manually.
8️⃣ Flexible, Adaptable, and Fully Connected
You can drag, drop, and reorder any unit, lesson, or resource at any time. If your plans change, you can update objectives, move lessons, or reassign resources.
Everything stays linked and up to date.
✨ New Tool: SAT Practice Test
The SAT Practice Test tool lets you create practice sets for Reading & Writing and Math. You can choose your SAT level and specific focus areas for your students and quickly generate fresh sets of standard SAT questions.
You can review, adjust, and export these practice sets to platforms like Google Forms, Canvas, Google Classroom, Schoology, or Kahoot.
✨ New Tool: Course Plan
The Course Plan tool helps you quickly create a course outline using a scope-and-sequence, reference materials, or your notes. Simply provide input and generate a complete outline. You can export or use it as a foundation for further planning in Monsha.
This gives you a straightforward way to set up your course before organizing units and lessons as described above.
✨ Canvas and Schoology Integration
You can now export Monsha-generated quizzes, worksheets, and other assessments directly to Canvas and Schoology.
This comes in addition to existing export options for Kahoot, Quizlet, Quizziz, Blooket, Google Forms, Socrative, and other platforms.
